Fixing the LAN settings

you can fix this error by adjusting the LAN setting in control panel. So follow the below part to adjust the LAN settings.

Open Start Menu > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Troubleshoot Problem > Internet Connections.

Click on the Internet options. The Internet Properties dialog box will get opened. In that go to he Connections Tab where you can  find the LAN Settings. Click on that LAN Settings. Check the below image for clear understanding.

Err_Connection_Timed_Out

After click on LAN setting one more dialog box will pop up here you have to  uncheck the Automatically detect settings and Use a proxy server for your LAN. You are done now your Err_connection_timed_out problem will be resolved.

Flush DNS and IP

if you are still getting error then here is the second fix for you. Sometimes ip and DNS flush also resolve the error connection timed out. follow the below steps to flush the dns.

Open Run or select Win + R button

Type Cmd in run and click on Okk.

Now Command prompt window will pop up. Here you have to write ipconfig/ flushdns command. after that hit the enter and you will get message like Successfully Flush Dns Resolver Cache. Restart your computer and connect internet.

Check Windows Hosts File

You should check your windows hosts file if this file is blocking the URL you’re trying to visit. Windows hosts file is simply notepad file to block access to some of the websites. By Modifying the Windows Host File you can fix Err_Connection_Timed_Out Error.

Search Notepad from start menu

Run Notepad as Run as Administrator option. You can do it by righ click on notepad icon.

Go to File > Open > Local Disk C: > Windows > System32 > Drivers > etc 

Now select All files as shown in the image below.

Click on Host file and Open it.

Once opened, scroll down and delete any website address or IP address after the last # sign just like the image below.

Now click on File and  Save the hosts file and close Notepad. try to visit the website and see if the error occurs or not if error is still appear then restart your computer and try to connect again.
